An Oops....And An Update

"White Pitcher, Lemon and Grapes" 14x18 oil

As some of you know I was selected by Richard Schmid to participate in his Fine Art Auction this year. I just received an email and they told me it was the other painting "Coastal" that he picked...and here is a picture of it.

"Coastal" 11x14 oil

The artists party for St. Avips was last night and we had a great time....I commend the ladies for putting this thing together so expertly each and every year. The Silent Auction and fancy dress ball is May 1st.......I will be there to mingle that evening also.
Tomorrow is the last day of my workshop and I have a great bunch of people who are so eager to learn!!!
May 7,8,9 is a Plein Air Paint Out I have been invited to attend....that should be a challenge!!!
Above is the finished demo from Neosho...."White Pitcher With Lemons and Grapes".
Kind of busy here I have two more paintings to finish before I can get back to what I love to do....romantic figurative and portraits!!!!

Much love to all and happy painting,
Theresa

Hi Theresa,

The upper painting is so cool. I love the diagonal line of the grape vine. Grapes grow in my neighbour's yard. She sold her house and I hope the new people don't take out the grapes. They trail over the fence into our yard and I cut off the vines with their glorious huge green leaves and put them a big jug like the one you portrayed on that counter you painted so beautifully in my kitchen.

The entry in the Schmid show is spectacular. Wow! You so rock.

Theresa - am in awe. You paint everything beautifully! I love the landscape as much as the still life. Don't know how he could choose. stunning work! I second Barbara's "rock." :-)

Dear Madam,

Having lived by the sea in Bermuda for many years, I love all things associated with the sea. I hear and smell the salty aroma just looking at your ‘Coastal’ – good work .. Bravo ..~!

Oh you lucky lady. I heard Richard Schmid speak for the first time this weekend and was so impressed by him. He is a sincere and humble man, not to mention an amazing artist. Good luck with the auction, sounds like great fun.

Congratulations on the Fine Art Auction! We need to hear more about it in the future when the auction day approaches! The rocks sienna/crimson rocks are stunning! I love the movement of the waves as well as the receeding ultramarine blue of the water, WOW!
The white pitcher is so full of light! You are always so successful in finding the light in your paintings!

Wow, Theresa,...it looks like you have really been busy with some great art and projects while I have been moving around from one country to another. Your art looks superb as always...and you do too. I'm almost back to a routine and I posted and linked your "Saints and Sinners" on today's blog. And, I admire your environment stance. I've been "green" for many years (and not from something I ate), and it is so wonderful to see others support a cleaner Earth.

Thinking of you out there painting en plein air.... I hope it's been wonderful being among the other artists there and that it won't be long before you get to paint your preferred subject matter again.
Thank you for your sweet comment. I, too, visit your blog without often commenting, but I do so love your work!
