What next??!

I got a surprising email this morning...pleasant and exhilarating!! It seems the Joplin Globe would like to do an article on me in their Profiles magazine. Profiles is a bi-monthly full-color, slick 9x11 magazine. They just added a separate Carthage publication this past issue. They are doing a bit of a promotion for the Midwest Gathering of Artists.
I have been honored for the past several years with an invitation to this event and my work has been very well received. They are an amazing group and I am most happy and honored to be associated with them! There are many people behind the scenes who work extremely hard to put this event on. Please follow the link above to read more about this group of fabulous artists, many of whom have won national and international acclaim, and how the group was founded.
Now if I can just keep my cool and not get rattled...all will be fine. I am always most comfortable in my studio (with brush in hand) and in my home.
Speaking of brushes....for those of you who paint...you know how hard it is to start up again after a lengthy time off. Moving twice in two years has really worn me out. Yes I paint but am not near as prolific as I have been in the past. With two deaths, one person very close to me, the other a relationship....still a sort of death, right? Two moves, having to rearrange my life pattern including finances, scheduling and everything else....well, I guess I just got tired. Anyway...all is well now and life is opening its doors to me once again. I have been extremely fortunate in the art world where doors open for me regularly...and I have always walked through. I have a wonderful supportive man in my life now, a recent sale of "First Sign of Red" to McCune Brooks Hospital and now this upcoming article. Believe me I am thankful every day and give thanks to God for the wonderful opportunities He has given me.
So if you feel like I do sometimes aimlessly wandering down life's road remember you just never know what's around the next bend!
Happiness to you all!
Theresa

Congratulations Theresa! WTG! And thanks for showing my favorite painting of yours. I bet that piece would make a popular giclee (hint).
